Full Description
May 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of an incomplete rectilinear enclosure and linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 4243 0680. Cropmarks of linear ditches are present on south-west to north-east and north-west to south-east alignments. They appear to define part of two rectilinear enclosures. One of these measures at least 42m by 36m, but they are too incomplete for their true form and dimensions to be determined. It is possible that the are a small fragment of a larger group of enclosures or a field system. They have a similar alignment to a group of possible Iron Age to Roman fields located approximately 1km to the west (NHER 49394), but they cannot be directly associated with them.
