Map

May 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a possible ring ditch of unusual form and unknown date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are located at TG 4187 0514. The ring ditch is circular in plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 15.5m. A 4m wide gap is present in the northern side of the ring ditch giving it a hengiform appearance. A circular positive cropmark with a diameter of approximately 6m is present in the centre of the ring ditch. This pit-like feature in the centre of the ring ditch is difficult to interpret. It is possible that the ring ditch is of Bronze Age date or that it relates to a stack stand of medieval to post medieval date.
