In (S1), 'Sir Jones Moor found Roman pavement and urns 6m (20ft) deep below low water mark at sea by Lynne.'
Fowler's note says probably Bronze Age at base of upper peat beads below silt.

Aubrey's Monumenta Britannica was written between 1665 and 1693 so this discovery is likely to have taken place before 1693.
