Full Description
May 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of an enclosure of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs to the immediate west of Panxworth Carrs (S1). The site is centred on TG 3556 1322. The northern boundary of the enclosure follows the line of a boundary marked on the 1838 South Walsham Tithe map (S2), suggesting that the features are unlikely to pre-date the medieval period. The enclosure measures 120m by 42m.
S. Massey (NMP) 23 May 2007.
