Full Description
August 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a trackway of unknown, but possible late prehistoric date are visible on aerial photographs to the south Burgh Road, Wheatacre (S1). The site is centred on TM 4611 9468 and is located on the southern edge of a large cluster of multi-phase cropmarks, see NHER 44964 for details. The trackway is visible from TM 4606 9472 to TM 4616 9463 and is 130m long and varies in width from 13-20m. The trackway is alignment in a similar direction to a series of undated, but again possibly late prehistoric field boundaries to the immediate north, see NHER 44965 for details.
S. Massey (NMP), 17 August 2006.
