THIS RING DITCH WAS PREVIOUSLY RECORDED UNDER NHER 18349.
August 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Hall Farm, Burgh St Peter (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 4843 9357. Another possible round barrow is visible 100m to the south (NHER 44883). These cropmarks sit within a wider spread of multi-phase cropmarks, see NHER 44886 for details.
The ring ditch is incomplete, with only the southern half visible. The trajectory of the visible section of ditch would indicate that the ring ditch is slightly elliptical in shape, measuring up to 18m across.
