Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP
Earthworks and cropmarks of field boundaries of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). They are centred on TG 3081 0151. Linear ditch earthworks were present in parkland at Bergh Apton Manor House in 1946 (S1). They appear to represent a continuation of the post medieval field pattern their east. The parkland is shown on Bryant’s 1826 county map (S3) but not Faden’s 1797 map (S4) indicating that it is of early 19th century date. The parkland had been ploughed and the field boundaries were partly visible as cropmarks in 1996 (S2).
