Map

August 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The soilmarks and cropmarks of probable post medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the east of the White Lion Pub, Wheatacre (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 4646 9367. The site consists of a series of ditched boundaries that either join up with or are broadly aligned the same as the post medieval field layout remaining in the modern landscape. These boundaries have already been removed by the surveying of the Wheatacre Tithe map of 1840 (S3). A small broad ditched enclosure or pen is conjoined to the main bank and ditch boundary at TM 4644 9369, 9m by 7m. This is possibly a stock enclosure or similar feature.
