Summary

The cropmarks of a post medieval post mill are visible on aerial photographs to the immediate south of Mill Lane. The site of the Acle mill has been recorded to the east of the site (NHER 8510), stating that a post mill existed in 1633, replaced by a double windmill in 1768 and a tower mill in the 1820-30s. It seems likely that this cropmark marks the location of the 1633 mill.
