Cropmarks of a trackway and associated field boundaries of possible Iron Age to Roman date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks were previously recorded as part of NHER 17671. A roughly south-west to north-east aligned trackway is present as a broad linear cropmark suggesting that it formed a slight hollow way. Extending perpendicularly to its north-west and south-east are linear field boundary ditch cropmarks. Although the fields are incomplete they appear to range from 24m to 100m in width. Iron Age and Roman artefacts have been found in the general vicinity of these cropmarks and it is possible that they relate to a field system of this period.
