Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of multi-period boundaries, an enclosure and a possible ring ditch are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Norwich Road, Strumpshaw (S1). The site is centred on TG 3535 0784. The site consists of a series of fragmentary ditches, the majority of which are likely to former field boundaries. Several of these boundaries are double ditched and may be the remains of trackways. A possible rectangular enclosure, possibly also defined by a double ditch, may abut one of these trackways. Within the centre of the site is a possible ring ditch, only half of which may be visible, measuring 17m in diameter. Although it is possible that this cropmark is non-archaeological in origin.
S. Massey (NMP), 28 June 2007.
