Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of multi-period field boundaries of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs to either side of the A47 in Beighton (S1-S4). The site is centred on TG 3795 0898. The majority of the features recorded under this site are fragmentary ditches, interpreted as the remains of former field boundaries of varying dates. Roman and medieval to post medieval date material has been found in the general area of this site (NHER 37673, 45390), and it is possibly that this reflects the date of some of the cropmarks.
S. Massey (NMP), 28 June 2007.
