Summary

A systematic fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2007 recovered a small number of prehistoric worked flints; an undatable pottery sherd; post-medieval ceramic building material fragments; a post-medieval coin; a post-medieval commemorative token and a range of post-medieval to modern and undatable metal objects. These metal finds included post-medieval thimbles, buckle and ?military badge; a modern bullet and a range of undatable copper alloy and lead fragments. Subsequent metal-detecting in 2008 recovered a post-medieval lead weight and a lead cloth seal, along with various metal objects of late post-medieval to modern date.

Field survey on proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Field 64).
Finds recovered included:
11 prehistoric worked flints.
1 post-medieval coin, 2 ceramic building material fragments, 1 commemorative token, 1 ?military badge, 1 buckle, 3 thimbles and 1 fitting.
1 modern bullet.
1 undatable pottery sherd, 2 fittings, 1 decorated strip fragment, 1 rod, 1 mount, 1 copper alloy sheet fragment, 1 iron strip, 1 lead nail, 1 lead rivet, 1 lead strip, 1 lead ball, 1 lead sheet fragment and 1 lead waste fragment.
