Map

July 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Linear and curvilinear ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S4), centred at TM 3383 9887. They probably represent post medieval field boundaries and a possible trackway leading from Poplar Farm, although the cropmarks of the latter could instead be the product of modern agricultural activity. Some of the field boundaries are depicted on 19th century maps, such as Sisland Enclosure Map of 1814 (S5), including those to the south of Church Road, which are depicted as very faint lines, perhaps indicating that they had already been removed.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 30 July 2007.
