Map

July 2007. Norfolk NMP.
A small area of possible ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TM 3535 9520. A slight curve is evident in the ridges, and as it lies within what is ostensibly semi-natural ancient woodland (i.e. which has been there since at least AD 1600) it is presumably medieval in date. As it is only visible on one set of aerial photographs, however, its identification as ridge and furrow must be regarded as provisional; it might instead be the product of more recent activity associated with the wood itself.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 30 July 2007.
