Map

May 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The site of probable post medieval peat or turf extraction is visible on aerial photographs to the east of Ranworth marshes (S1). The site is centred on TG 3723 1487. The site consists of a series of elongated oblong shallow cuts or scoops in the fen vegetation, ranging in width from 5m to 15m and up to 60m long. Although it is possible that this is the result of recent land management within the Ranworth marshes, it is likely that these angular cuts are the result of post medieval surface peat or turf extraction.
S. Massey (NMP) 30 May 2007.
