NHER 37727 (Find Spot record) - Worked flint scatter, Bacton to King's Lynn Transco Pipeline

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Plot number 222.
Fieldwalking survey produced a worked flint scatter consisting of six scrapers, two blades, one of which was late Neolithic, a late Neolithic fabricator, a core and twenty-nine flakes. They correspond with a flint scatter (NHER 16919) found previously, which also included Neolithic tools. A fragment of burnt flint and post medieval building material were also found. Geophysical survey found strong pit-like anomalies and many strong posiitive and dipolar anomalies, the latter suggesting the presence of ferrous and ceramic debris. The survey also found evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation.
