Summary

A concentration of burnt flints was found between 2002 and 2003 during field reconnaisssance survey on the route of a gas pipeline. A significant concentration of burnt flints was recovered. Flint scrapers, a blade and flakes were also found, as were medieval and post medieval finds.

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Plot number 39.
Alinear anomaly was detected by the geophysical survey as it probably a former field boundary. A significant concentration of burnt flints was recovered and flint implements including four flint scrapers, a flint blade and flint flakes were recovered. Medieval and post-medieval pottery, building material, a post medieval bottle lid shard and a piece of slag were also found.
