Map

September 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a series of field boundaries of unknown, but possible post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Royal Hill, Ringland (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 1386 1486. The cropmarks appear to relate to a system of boundaries and tracks which pre-date the post medieval layout marked on the 1841 Ringland Tithe map (S4). A post medieval date is most likely for these earlier land boundaries although a medieval origin date is a significant possibility. The features show no obvious relationship to the cropmarks recorded to the immediate southeast (NHER 50602), which are thought to be Roman in date.
