Full Description
3 July 1990. NAU aerial photography.
Cropmarks of settlement site - rectangles, droves, etc. (underlying herringbone land-drainage).

This clearly predates the early 19th century park layout.

NLA were informed, through a third party, that archaeological trenching has been undertaken. No further information yet available, although there was, apparently, Saxon pottery discovered.
