Cropmarks of field boundaries and a trackway or road of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1) and (S2). Linear field boundary ditch cropmarks define a series of rectilinear fields and a north to south aligned trackway or road. This field pattern does not correspond to that shown on the 1838 East Bilney tithe map (S3) and is likely to be earlier, possibly medieval, in date.
J. Albone (NMP), 21 September 2007.
