Map

November 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of medieval to post medieval embankments, channels and ponds are visible on aerial photographs to the south of the Dairy Farm and Morton Lane (S1). The site is centred on TG 1062 1692. The main component of the site is a slightly sinuous channel to the immediate west of a drain and system of sluices. It is possible that this more irregular channel marks an earlier drainage feature or channel. One of the banks appears to be cut by a boundary that is marked on the 1841 Weston Longville Tithe map (S2), indicating that it is at least pre-eighteenth century in date.
S. Massey (NMP), 12 November 2007.
