Summary

A rectilinear S-shaped cropmark, possibly relating to a post medieval gravel pit, is visible on aerial photographs. It is not marked on the 1838 East Winch tithe map or later maps. A similar pit-like cropmark is located a short distance to the south (NHER 50752).

A rectilinear S-shaped cropmark, possibly relating to a post medieval gravel pit, is visible on aerial photographs (S1). A large in-filled pit-like feature is visible as a cropmark it is similar to post medieval gravel pits in this area and could be a former pit of post medieval date. It is not marked on the 1838 East Winch tithe map (S2) or later maps. A similar pit-like cropmark is located a short distance to the south (NHER 50752)
