Map

December 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of a series of medieval to post medieval date platforms and ditched boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Mill Farm, Elsing (S1). The site is centred on TG 0507 1742. The site consists of a series of earthworks that appear to represent a series of low platforms defined and bisected by a number of ditches. It is possible that some of these ditches acted as drainage features. By 1988 (S2) it appears that some re-landscaping has taken place in the area of this site and it is possible that some of the earthworks no longer survive. Unfortunately the shadows on the photography are not sufficient to identify the presence of any of the earthworks, although some may remain.
S. Massey (NMP), 05 December 2007.
