Summary

Two short lengths of linear ditch, of unknown date and function, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. They are visible on only one set of aerial photographs, and so little can be seen that their archaeological origin and significance is far from certain. The northernmost ditch overlaps the site of an undated ring ditch (NHER 29560), but any relationship between the two is unclear.

Map

January 2008. Norfolk NMP.
Two short lengths of linear ditch are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TG 2671 1517. Their date and function is not known, and even their archaeological significance is uncertain, given that so little is visible, and what can be seen is visible on only one set of aerial photographs. The northernmost ditch overlaps the site of an undated ring ditch (NHER 29560), but any relationship between the different cropmarks is unclear. The ditches might instead be agricultural marks of recent origin.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 14 January 2008.
