Before October 1995. Metal-detecting.
A medieval lead seal matrix and a post medieval dress fastener were recovered from the north end of the site.
The first item was identified as a pointed oval medieval lead seal matrix with a lug on the reverse near one end and a feather-like motif in the centre. It measures 34mm x 25mm. + SIGIL […] ..ROGE®, in very crude lettering.
The second item is a 17th century dress fastener with a rectangular loop and four attachment holes on the edges. It features a ?Classical bust in shallow relief.

Cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure and an associated trackway (NHER 51161) have been recorded in this field. Potboilers [NHER 7220] have also been found in the eastern portion of this field.
