Full Description
January 2008. Norfolk NMP.
An earthwork of a possible penannular enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (S1). A faintly visible earthwork of a possible circular enclosure is present. It is defined by a low, narrow bank and has an external diameter of 16m. A single, 1.5m wide, gap, possibly a deliberate entrance, is present in the east side of the enclosure. As this enclosure is only faintly visible on one set of aerial photographs its exact form and existence remain somewhat speculative. If however it is an archaeological feature it may be of late Neolithic to Bronze Age date and may have some relationship to the Bronze Age round barrows 150m to the south (NHER 16286, 50593).
