Map

February 2008. Norfolk NMP
Earthworks of a boundary ditch and bank are visible on aerial photographs (S1). A curving linear ditch partly flanked by a bank is present on a roughly north to south alignment. It is likely that it relates to a boundary but it is not marked on the Bawsey tithe map of 1839 (S2) or later maps. The boundary is located on an area of former heath land and cuts across earthworks of multiple hollow ways of possible medieval or earlier origin (NHER 50849). Although it is not marked on the available maps, it is likely that the boundary ditch and bank are of medieval to post medieval date.
J. Albone (NMP), 4 February 2008.
