Map

February 2008. Norfolk NMP.
The soilmarks and slight earthworks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow are visible on aerial photographs to the north of the Roman Road at Billingford (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 0268 2066. The archaeological nature of this site is uncertain and it is possible that the soilmarks relate to underlying geological deposits. Underlying geological deposits, such raised areas of gravel, could also account for the slight earthwork component to this possible site. Consequently the level of certainty over the archaeological nature of this site is quite low. The site consists of a roughly circular light-coloured cropmark, approximately 25m in diameter (S1).
S. Massey (NMP), 14 February 2008.
