Full Description
March 2008. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a trackway of unknown, but possibly late prehistoric to Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs to the southwest of Castle Farm, Swanton Morley (S1-S2). Finds in the area range in date from the prehistoric period to Roman (NHER 2989, 2994, 12297). The site is centred on TG 0327 1732. This trackway is possibly related to the fragmentary fields and trackways, recorded approximately 300m to the north under NHER 50875, as it follows a similar alignment.
The trackway is 160m long and is cut by a post medieval field boundary and trackway.
S. Massey (NMP), 03 March 2008.
