Summary

This is the site of a possible Bronze or Iron Age round barrow, situated near Botany Bay in the parish of Weeting with Broomhill. It was excavated before 1934, and a number of Late Bronze Age or Iron Age cremation and pottery sherds were found. Four barrows noted here by the Ordnance Survey are now recorded individually as NHER 61503-6, and collectively as barrow cemetery NHER 61502. Whether any of these equate to the excavated barrow is not known.

With the exception of the round barrow excavated before 1934, and the associated finds and evidence for cremations, the barrows described above are now recorded individually as NHER 61503-6, and collectively as barrow cemetery NHER 61502. Whether any of these equate to the excavated barrow is not known.
