Summary

The cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow are visible on aerial photographs within the Watlington cropmark complex (NHER 11724). This feature is visible as a circular soilmark, no corresponding ring ditch was identified as a cropmark. It is possible that this soilmark is the result of the underlying gravel geology.

The cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) within the Watlington cropmark complex (NHER 11724). The site is centred on TF 6306 1064. This feature is visible as a circular soilmark, 18m in diameter (S1-S2), a slight mound may be visible within the field at this location in 1981 (S2), although this is not certain. No corresponding ring ditch was identified as a cropmark. It is possible that this soilmark is the result of the underlying gravel geology.
