Summary

A raised edge likely representing the remains of a building, identified during an earthwork survey of Oak Wood in 2007. These are likely the remains of a military building associated with World War Two defenses installed in Oak Wood (NHER 38264).

Oak Wood Site 12:
A raised edge outline of natural flints was identified during a rapid earthwork survey of Oak Wood, Cracking Hill and Sheringham Wood. The structure measures 6m by 5m and appears to be open on the south. The raised edge measures 1.5m wide and up to 0.2m high. These are likely the remnants of a military building associated with the World War Two defenses in Oak Wood (NHER 38264).
