Summary

The Church of St Margaret is known to have existed close to the Magdalen Gate, and the discovery of a graveyard just to the south (NHER 780) confirms its location in this area. Although the foundation date of this church is unclear, it is known that it was demolished in 1547 when the parish was united with St Pauls.

Parish united with St Paul's - church demolished around 1547 AD.
Criminals buried in this churchyard.

Churchyard discovered just to the south, see NHER 780. The appellation 'in Combusto' also found at St Mary Unbrent (NHER 512), further south on Magdalen Street.
