Full Description
Pre 1923. Near St Helen's Well.
Roman sherds, see (S1) and (S2).
R. R. Clarke (NCM).
Forestry Commission at Santon Downham have a number of Roman sherds, flue tiles, brick and tile marked 'near St Helen's Well' some of them from [1]'s 'Site XX' (NHER 5674).
Some may come from NHER 5683 which is a Roman site near well.
Also one medieval glazed handle sherd.
