Summary

A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2008 recovered prehistoric worked flints; medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds and a small number of post-medieval metal objects.

March-April 2008. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection (Field 52).
Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric flint backed knife, 1 end scraper, 1 scraper and 1 flake.
1 medieval pottery sherd.
1 post-medieval sherd, 1 copper alloy fork and 1 copper alloy button.
2 undatable metal-working debris fragments.
'Lots' of modern items were also observed but not collected, including metal objects and ceramic building material fragments.
