A range of brick farm buildings in a courtyard complex. The main two storey barn features a date plaque of 1868 on the gable, but structures along the road frontage are believed to be of earlier date. Poplars farmhouse (NHER 44341) was constructed in the 18th century and it is possible that some of these structures are contemporary. Plans are in place to convert the primary barns for residential use in 2008.

October 2008. Building Survey.
Level 2 survey of the Old Dairy.
The Old Dairy is composed of three agricultural buildings, all of which are visible on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map. This suggests a date between 1839 and 1886. The first building, aligned east-west was constructed of brick in monk bond. Four entrances were identified, two in the southern elevation, one in the western gable end and one in the northern elevation. Only two windows were recorded. The interior was divided into eight roughly equal bays, with the exception of the penultimate eastern bay which was significantly larger and into which the northern entrance opened. A pulley system appeared to be contained within a brick housing appended to the north-eastern corner of the structure. These divisions suggest that the building was once used as a cow shed. The second building was lcoated to a right angle to the first building, and was constructed of brick and flint. A retaining wall was located along the northern half of the elevation to support the crumbling flint. The western elevation had been removed prior to the survey. A single blocked doorway was visible in the east-facing elevation. The interior was divided into four bays . The third building was a one and a half storey structure of random coursed flint with rare brick and stone inclusions. The corners were of brick and a single course of brickwork ran across the eastern face. The northern half of the western elevation has been reconstructed from modern yellow brick. The interior was divided into two cells on the ground floor.
