Full Description
Public house. Following suggestion that this was a medieval hall-house with smoke blackened roof the building was examined by E. Rose (NLA). No evidence could be found of a pre-18th century date. It appears to be a former row of cottages dating to the late 18th/early 19th century retaining such features as bread ovens and staircases.
