Summary

Large solution hole identified at the edge of a ploughed field on a grass track immediately south of a hedge forming the parish boundary with Brancaster.

Large hole in ground reported by (S1) via Kings Lynn Museum.
Visited 5.0.2007. Edge of ploughed field on grass track immediately south of hedge forming parish boundary with Brancaster. Collapsed domed cavity now 1.60m depth from surface but this was to top of collapsed infill. 700mm north-south by 1.40m east-west but latter included collapsed area of west side where struck by plough. Dome appeared to be entirely within ploughsoil and subsoil.
Identified by N Larkin NCM as a solution hole. See evidence of such features on adjacent site NHER26727.
