Summary

Two evaluation trenches were excavated by NAU Archaeology in February 2008 on the plot of land directly north of St Mary's Church. Two intercutting post medieval pits and an undated shallow ditch were recorded, along with two sherds of late medieval transitional ware pottery, late post medieval ceramic building material, and fragments of undated animal bone. No human remains or significant archaeological deposits were found.
