August 2008. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of excavation of trench for pier base.
North-west-south-east aligned foundations were uncovered and consisted of motar, flint and brick. An existing wall immediately to the north-east was aligned parallel to these foundations and therefore it is likely that these were foundations for a wall which were later replaced by the existing wall.
