Summary

A partly glazed medieval jug was found in 1949. It is likely that a Mesolithic flint tranchet adze was also found on or near this site, although the date and circumstances of this discovery are not known.

1 medieval pottery vessel (partly-glazed jug; 13th to 15th century. Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1949.199).

R. Jacobi's records (S2) described a Mesolithic flint tranchet axehead found in Croxton. The grid reference listed (TL 874 867) suggests it was found either on or very close to this site. It appear that this object was in the possession of its finder [1] when it was examined by Jacobi.
