Full Description
Field Survey, 10 May 2003
House of two storeys with a central stack. The upper part of the gable walls have bricks with horizontal skintlings, dating to after around 1700. The lower parts of these walls, below an offset, appear to be older but paint obscures any dating evidence. At the northwest corner of the house a strange buttress projects. The façade is rendered, the interior has nothing pre 19th century. It is stated that in 1997 a cellar was found beneath the north end and inspected by 'someone from Gressenhall' who said it was undatable - it was of brick with two arched niches and has since been infilled.
E. Rose (NLA), 12 April 2007.
