Summary

This is the site of a large flint and brick farm, built in 1816 by Lord Walsingham in imitation of the farm of Hougemont. By 1987 the buildings had been demolished.

(S1) notes a large barn of flint and bricks, present in 1847 and since rebuilt by the army in part. The display room at West Tofts Camp states that this was one of three farms (together with Waterloo and Moushall) that Lord Walsingham built in 1816 in imitation of the farm of Hougement which he saw at the battle of Waterlook. All have now been demolished.
