Map

Stray Finds, October 1991.
Found in constructing a new farm building where (S1) marks a long narrow feature - the original loke? Well, which contained a clog, probably 20th century, rubber sole fastened with machine made nails. Could have come from Norfolk but wooden soles were worn in Norfolk in the past. Single bar style, girl's size or maid's; Wooden bowl perhaps for shaving soap, probably not of any age; Brass cup, probably 1920s by design, may be an import from India. Indentified by D. Jones, NMS.
E. Rose (NLA), 21 June 2007.
