NHER 51728 (Monument record) - Post-medieval ditch and undated quarry pit

September-November 2008. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection cable (Trenches 48 and 49).
The northernmost of the two trenches excavated at this location exposed a north-to-south aligned ditch that produced a single post-medieval pottery sherd. This was probably the same feature as a ditch revealed in a trench at the southern end of the field to the north, which also produced post-medieval material (NHER 51727).
The only other feature exposed was a undated probable quarry pit.

No additional features identified and no finds recovered.
