Summary

In November 2008 a watching brief carried out during the excavation of footings for two bungalows produced a small quantity of Roman finds and pit features of possible Roman date.

Monitoring of excavation of footing trenches for new residential dwellings.
A small quantity of Roman pottery and possible ceramic building material were recovered from the north-eastern part of the site including a possible pit feature of Roman date. Other features of unknown date such as small pits and ditches could also be Roman but the lack of finds could suggest they post date Roman activity.
