Full Description
November 2008. Norfolk NMP.
A public air raid surface shelter is visible at TG 2522 1215 on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2) at the junction of Wroxham Road and Church Lane.
It is a fairly large shelter (7 by 5 m) and presumably provided protection for the civilian population of the nearby streets.
The shelter consists of a roughly rectangular concrete structure. Four raised structures on its roof mark probable ventilation shafts and/or emergency exits.
E. Bales (NMP), 5 November 2008.
