Building survey.
House circa 1830, which has not suffered a lot of alteration. Use of very distinctive local materials.
The entrance façade is of roughly squared and coursed carstone with decorative 'cherry stone' fragments in the joins. Keyed brick dressings and quoins. Four bays with an off-centre doorway. Three sash windows and upper floor of four two-light casement windows. Small wings originally advancing barely more than four feet, but advanced later in similar materials.
The garden façade is of coursed and square clunch to ground floor and barely squared carstone to upper floor. Off centre French windows beneath an open-pedimented hood. To the west is a gabled wing rebuilt or remodelled in the early 20th century with random masonry
Interior of corridors at both levels to entrance front side. First floor corridor has a fine segmental barrel vault in plaster. Principal stair straight up from lobby, corresponding with garden French windows. Several original chimney pieces.
