Summary

A World War Two air raid shelter with a blast wall at one end and an escape shaft at the other was found in woodland between North and South Pickenham. This may be associated with the nearby airfield (NHER 2697).

Winter 2005-6. Somewhere in this piece of woodland, west of the road between North and South Pickenham, about 50m in from an informal layby or passing place.
World War Two air raid shelter, with blast wall at one end and concrete escape shaft at the other (iron ladder missing). Appeared to be accessible but not entered due to lack of a torch.
Possibly associated with the nearby airfield, NHER 2697.
